Yesterday I went to a game where the Oakland Athletic’s were playing at ATT Park against the San Francisco Giants. It was a pretty good game with a very nice size crowd. The park said it was sold out but I saw a lot of seats available.
I still think ATT park is one of the best I have been to, except for the stupid ramp. You have to go around so many times just to go up what would have been only a few flights of stairs. Other than that though, its a pretty nice park.
The game itself was a lot of fun. There were a lot of As fans there so the banter back and forth was really good. In our section, two fans were having a yelling match back and forth and I honestly thought I would see a fight. It was exciting.
Well thats it for today. I’m going to try to do some graphic design now.
This weekend I was trying to buy a round trip airline ticket from San Francisco to Maine in order to spend a week with Amanda and her family. Pretty straight forward thing to do right? Pick a site (I went with Travelocity), enter some info like where from/to, dates and a whole lot of other stuff, mostly useless. Did that easily enough. Since I was trying to match Amanda’s flight info, it was even easier (not as cheap as other options but more convenient). So I’m zipping through all nice like until I get to the page where I have to pay.
At that point I pull out my handy dandy Paypal Debit Card so I could save a few bucks on this flight (from cashback) and enter my information. I check to make sure everything is accurate then click the submit button. After waiting a minute it comes back saying there was a problem with the card and to check the info or use a different card. So I check the info again, even re-entering it and try again. Same thing. Weird.

I am still working on this blog. I have moved it over to WordPress and I have created a copy as a dev area. I am working on the styling and functionality to give me the features I want right now.
On a personal note, Amanda and I are doing amazing. She is wonderful and I’m happy with her. I’m going to an Angels vs. As game tomorrow with her. This weekend I’m going with Adrienne canoing on the Russian River. I don’t know why it is called that so don’t ask.
Over the new few days/weeks/months, I am going to be changing my blog. First thing I am going to do is migrate it from Google’s free blogger, to an actual blogging application, most probably WordPress. After that is done (and thats probably not going to be easy but oh well, I will start to work on the functionality and look and feel. I am thinking I may take snapshots to give a sort of timeline as to the progression of this. I’ll see how it goes.
On another note, I had an AMAZING day with Amanda today. Wow she is great.
As a kid, I rarely remember getting sunburned. Oh sure there are those times when I would get sun burned and boy did they hurt. But overall, growing up in San Bernardino (think Hell, but not as nice), my body adjusted to the constant heat and sun. Slightly helped that I am Mexican and being in the sun is in my genes. Sadly, now my body has not seen as much sun as it used to and I think I really got burned today. It’s actually not as bad as some burns I’ve had before, but still hurts some. It’s more annoying than anything, as my knees are really burned making walking uncomfortable but my back is only slightly burned, not too bad. Overall, I’d say it was worth it to see where my body is at and where I’d like it to be. That and the fact that I spend it with Amanda was worth it.
Went cosmic bowling last night. It was pretty cool. Went with my girlfriend, (Amanda – Yehah!), her friend and another couple. I suck at bowling. Everyone else was pretty decent. Her friend Julie was really good. I think I want to get better because I forgot how competitive I can get. Watching Julie get a really good score made me envious that I wasn’t that good and having Amanda just beat the living carp out of me, while nice having a girlfriend thats better then me, really brought out my competitive spirit. I realized how much I miss sports and things like that and how much I want to do that again. Someday soon hopefully.
Ok I’m not going to lie. I like the A’s because Amanda likes them. Scratch that. She LOVES them. Yeah my last blog post I was complaining about the price of ticket’s and ordering online, but at the end of the night, it was worth it. Amanda and I had a great time. We laughed, we cheered, we didn’t cry (no need, our team won! Woot, woot!), I had a barbecue pork sandwich (messy and delicious) and best of all, we got to be on the Jumbotron-thingie. Yup, just her and I. Her looking all fine like she always is and me dancing all goofy-ish like I always do. Overall, a good night.
